The EPP WIP is no longer a UFO! So many letters!
I honestly don't know how long I have been working on this quilt, but several months at least. This is my first attempt at EPP, and I have to say I enjoyed it.
I had purchased several packs of Kaffe Fassett hexie charms to practice on. The hexies were precut, but the triangles I used to fill in were homemade. After piecing it all, I think it would have been better to purchase both shapes precut. It's so much easier.
Once all of the hexies were laid out I decided to use some reads-as-solid colors to make a few random star shapes. When it was all pieced, I had to decide how to border it. So many decisions for such a simple quilt. I used more Kaffe , and appliqued the piecing to the border. Quilting took no time at all.
The last touch was to handstitch around the stars. The quilt, of wonderful Kaffe Fassett, feels like silk--like a confection! It is so soft and beautiful!
My second EPP is still on the fall, but I like a challenge!

Adding in the colored bits for stars was a great idea - I didn't even see them until you pointed them out. They look fabulous! I really like your quilt. Makes me want to go stitch together some hexies! :)
