WIP and WIP

Both of the projects I am working on are turning out to be interesting.  I have made several of the log cabin blocks in coral and green, a few in purple, just to see how they fit together.  I have yet to make any in blue.  I am happy to report that only a few fat quarters were purchased for this project.  Stash busting!

My propensity for keeping even the tiniest scraps actually came in handy here.  Some of the pieces in these blocks are only 1.4" by 1.4"!

Yes, I actually hoarded little pieces of white Kona that measured almost that small.  And I finally was rewarded for my thriftiness!

The second block is amazing.  I love it to death and it is just a piece of scrap heaven!

I only have one of these blocks done.  The advantage (if there is one) to working on both blocks at the same time is that if I cannot use a scrap on one block I may be able to throw it over to the other!

We shall see how these develop or if I can keep up this pace!  And linking up to Anything Goes Monday, kindly hosted today at the Sassy Stitcher!!

Hugs,
Debbie

  1. I love the music print used in your second block! And the log cabin blocks that make dots of color look great!

  2. I love that second block too..it's so fun! And the bright colors make the log cabin blocks look so modern. I can only hope that one day I'll have a scrap bin as nice as yours! :)
