WIP Wednesday, or Did I tell you that I also Embroider?
It is time to turn my UFOs into WIPs. I love my Babylock Ellisimo embroidery machine, and I dearly love log cabin blocks made of scraps, so check it out:
I embroidered the same butterfly design twice, in blues and in orangey-peaches, and then used the log cabin design around them to finish a rectangle shape. I added batting and a muslin backing, and quilted about 1/4 inch apart, basically in a square design. I enjoy 1/4 inch straight line quilting a lot.
A close-up of the blue stitching here--
And a hidden zipper for the back.
Hopefully, these pillows will be finished in a day or so as I would like to list them in my Etsy shop. The butterfly design is a favorite of mine, and part of a collection from Urban Threads.
Seeing the designs come to life in multiple colors was fun! Linking up this week to WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced! Be sure to check our my friend, Vera's lovely work here! She is a regular to WIP Wednesday!

The butterfly embroidery added a nice touch of interest to the blocks. Good luck finishing them up soon!
